Do all dream careers have to start with school? Maybe not.
Join AIGA Gainesville at Starter Space on September 28 for a chat with Amber Aultman about making your own path and how to be successful at self-learning.
About Amber:
As an experience designer and strategist based in Jacksonville, FL, Amber Aultman loves solving problems. She's a champion for the user and a facilitator of design thinking. As the president of AIGA Jacksonville, Amber fosters growth in the design community, mentoring young designers and bringing together the creative community through events and workshops. Amber is currently part of the design team at Tuft & Needle where she's helping to streamline the e-commerce platform and refine admin tools, making sure the customer experience stays paramount even at $100M in yearly revenue and counting. She credits her well-rounded design process to her unconventional career path. She first earned a degree in Psychology from University of Florida before realizing her need to be more creative in her professional life. She then attended Savannah College of Art and Design for textile design while teaching herself Graphic Design and UX. When she's not working, Amber enjoys tennis, yoga, great music, nature, and Mitch Hedberg jokes.
