Join us for a special Coffee with Creatives as we take a look at the history of Ligature, the University of Florida's annual student lead symposium featuring internationally recognized designers who lead lectures, workshops and a juried exhibition of graphic design student work. Brian Slawson, Associate Professor of Graphic Design at the University of Florida and founder of Ligature and voxGraphis, will lead the conversation and share stories from the incredible 28-year history of Ligature.
Over the past 28 years, Ligature has hosted a number of incredible designers including Will Bryant, Frankie Ratford, Mikey Burton, Leta Sobierajski, Wade Jeffree, Frank Chimero, Kate Bingaman-Burt, Jessica Walsh, Debbie Millman, Paul Sahre, James Victore, Jan Wilker, Carlos Segura, Joshua Davis, David Carson, Elliott Earls, Andrew Blauvelt, Nancy Skolos, Phil Meggs, and Duane Bray. Ligature 28 continues the tradition and brings art director Alexandra Zsigmond and Pentagram partner Eddie Opara to the University of Florida.
