Coffee with Creatives September Topic: Copyright Issues for Creatives
UF Creative Director and AIGA Gainesville Vice-President Jim Harrison leads a conversation and Q&A about copyrights, the laws that protect creatives and their work, and how to consider the role of copyrights when building estimates and negotiating with clients.
Jim Harrison is a Senior Creative Director at UF, and currently leads creative strategy at The Agency, the College of Journalism and Communications' fully integrated communications firm. A creative in Gainesville for over 25 years, Jim is known for his branding & illustration studio MetaVisual, as well as his Gainesville Fruit Co. series of graphic art prints that feature Gainesville landmarks in the style of vintage fruit crate labels.
Whether you're a designer yourself, work with them, or just want to get to know a few, this is a great opportunity to connect with your community. Grab a cup of coffee and let's chat! It will be a great place to meet new people.
This Coffee with Creatives will take place this Saturday, September 30 from 11:00AM–12:30PM at Third House Books & Coffee, located at 113 North Main Street.
This event is FREE and open to both members and non-members.
